Coach's Comments/Match Report Tackers RED

Our season came to a chilling halt on Sunday on what turned out to be the coldest and wettest day of the season.
Seems that the weather took it's toll with Bulleen Templestowe arriving at Zerbes with only 15 or so players.
With our team raring to go in peak form, the boys took to the field in atrocious conditions and showed no mercy from the first bounce. By quarter time Adam Reynolds had nailed his first three goals of the season and the boys had 3.2.20 on the board to zip.
By 1/4 time frostbite had started to set into the boys hands.
The second quarter followed the same vain as the first and the boys continually snowploughed the ball into the forward line for a return of 1 goal 3 behinds. The goal was the result of some unselfish play by Charlie Thompson who slipped a lovely pass to Ben O'Sullivan at the point of the square for yet another Superboot goal through the middle.
With players from both teams lining up in the queue for the Victorian Ambulance Service, the coaches decided that the players' welfare was best served by retreating to the warmth of the changerooms and showers. Thus ending the match early by a half with the boys once again in a commanding position, 4.5.29 to nil.
On behalf of the BHJF club, Darren, Davin and myself, we would like to once again thank all of the boys and their families who have made the Tackers team and season 2008 a great time to remember.
We hope that you will all be back next season for a second tilt at Tackers or the Under 10s if qualified, so see you all then.
