After a fantastic season being undefeated in 16 home and away games, to losing the Second Semi Final against St Marys and bouncing back against Kew and then defeating St Marys in the Grand Final it was a season to treasure. To win two flags in a row in Gold division of the YJFL is an incredible performance and every one of you boys should be very proud of your achievement.
Commiserations to St Mary`s. They gave us a hell of a game and as we both battled the elements which included a hail storm and gale force winds it was always going to go down to the wire. They are a strong, proud club and we are sure we will have some close battles next season.
Congratulations to the parents and supporters of both clubs as the positive encouragement made for a wonderful atmosphere which the boys loved playing under.
Thankyou to our fantastic team manager Julie for always being so organised and helpful. Thankyou to all the parents who helped at training and on match days and a big thankyou to the wonderful support from our own club and committee.
Once again it has been a privilege to coach such a committed group of boys and the happiness that was shared amongst us all was due to knowing that it was the reward for all the hard work that everyone put in during the season. Well done boys, you are a real special group of friends who also happen to be an amazing football team. GO HILLS.
